The Arab Spring: A Media Revolution

Dr. Noureddine Miladi and Sarah Giaziri will explore the role of the media in driving and reporting on the changes in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).   Topics to be discussed include how the media encouraged or hindered efforts, the role of activists and journalists, the different position taken by the competing outlets, and how the revolutions changed the media and social media landscapes in the MENA region and beyond.

Gala concert:  Peace and Prosperity Trust fundraiser

This 90 minute classical concert features a selection of the Trust’s young artists performing Western and Arabic repertoire with the 65 piece Orion Orchestra conducted by Toby Purser, plus star tenor Dennis O’Neill. The concert will raise funds for the St John of East Jerusalem Eye Hospital‘s Patient Relief Fund to serve those in need within the Occupied Palestinian Territories.  The concert tickets range from £15 to £35.

Pitching for Palestine – New Thinking for an Old Conflict

Summer University of Palestine: a week excursion in Lebanon

Viva Palestina Arabia announces the third Summer University of Palestine, which will be from Saturday 1st September to Sunday 9th September this year. The central theme of this year’s university will be the Palestinian Right of Return. It will be based in the beautiful and tranquil American University of Beirut in Hamra, Beirut, Lebanon.
